When you buy a product from our store, we collect every personal data that you may have sent to us, such as your email and house addresses, and also your name. This collection of information is important for us to help you process your transactions. 

While browsing through our store, we may also automatically retrieve your computer’s Internet Protocol (IP) address. This enables us to learn more about your browser and OS (Operating System) 

Email-Marketing: Emails may be sent –with your consent- about our store, as well as new products and other updates.

  • How is my consent obtained?

When we have been provided with certain personal information in order to complete a transaction, or place an order, or even arrange for a delivery or return a product initially purchased, you assent to the collection and use of such personal information for such specific reason only.

When we inquire for personal information for reasons other than the reasons earlier aforementioned, like marketing, for instance, we can either ask you directly for explicit consent or provide the opportunity for you to reject our request.

Denue Inc. and its other service providers or affiliates may share your information in accordance with applicable law. For instance, we may be forced to disclose information by a court of law or another person or organization having the authority to compel such disclosure. We may provide information to law enforcement authorities or other relevant investigative bodies if we have reasonable cause to suggest that it will aid in the investigation of illegal conduct. Additionally, we may reveal personal information to other organizations in the event of an investigation into a breach of an agreement or a violation of the law, or in the event of discovering, suppressing, or preventing fraud.

Denue Inc. does not sell (in the conventional sense of the word "sell") your personal information to other parties. That means, we do not sell, rent, or trade your name, phone number, address, email address, or other personal information with other parties. However, providing information for advertising reasons may be deemed a "sale" under Canadian law. If you visited our website at any point in time and saw advertisements, your information was "sold" to our advertising partners in accordance with Canadian law.

 

SECTION 4 – (PAYMENT PLATFORM) 

Our store is hosted on a custom built solution using PHP, CodeIgniter and Bootstrap. This platform gives us the ability to sell our products and services to you. Your data is entrenched in this custom solution’s data storage, and the general Denue application. It should be noted that your data is kept on a secure server, behind a firewall.

Payment

If you decide to complete the purchase of your product through a direct payment gateway, Denue keeps your credit card information. This is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your transaction data is kept only as long as is deemed necessary, in order to complete your purchase transaction. Once this is done, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

Every direct payment conforms to the standards set by PCI-DSS, which is managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint collaboration of various brands, such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

SECTION 5 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Overall, the third-party providers engaged by us will only collect, disclose and use your information only as exigencies may demand them to perform the services provided to us.

Although, certain third-party service providers, which includes payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, incorporate their own privacy policies in respect of the information that we are expected to provide to them, with respect to your purchase-related transactions.

With regards to such providers, we highly recommend that their privacy policies are read, in order for you to fully understand how your personal information shall be handled by such providers.

Remember, specific providers may be located in a jurisdiction, or have facilities that are situated in jurisdictions different from either you or us. So, if you elect to proceed with a particular transaction that requires the services of a third-party service provider, your information may be subjected to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) which regulate the service provider or its facilities. For instance, if you, the user, are located in the United States, while the payment gateway is located in Canada, your personal information that is used in completing such transaction may be subject to disclosure regulated by Canada’s legislation.

Once you exit our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or even their application, you are no longer regulated by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

In a bid to guard your personal information, we take necessary and reasonable precautions and adhere to the best practices available in the industry, in order to ensure that it is not inappropriately altered, disclosed, or even misused. 

If your credit card information is provided to us, such information is encrypted using a secure socket layer technology (SSL) and kept with AES-256 encryption. However, it is important to note that no process of transmission over the internet, or e-storage is 100% secure. Nevertheless, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted best practices.

By accessing this site, you duly represent that you are of the age of majority, at least, in your state or province of residence, or that at least, you are the age of majority and you have granted us your consent to allow your minor dependents to use this site.

If a merger or acquisition is undertaken with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners, in order for us to continue to sell products to you.
