Denue is a global marketplace for the world to buy and sell designer, premium and vintage denim. We are driving a movement to keep quality in circulation and provide consumers a sustainable and viable alternative for adding denim to their wardrobe. In this blog post, we will provide a complete breakdown of how Denue works: buying, selling and shipping on the platform.
HOW DOES DENUE WORK?
The way Denue works is simple and straightforward:
- Register for an account - REGISTER HERE
- Connect your PayPal Business account from the Dashboard
- Setup your shipping rates in the Shipping Settings tab of the Dashboard
- Begin listing your denim. It's always free to list on Denue
Buyers can shop the marketplace on desktop or mobile with the ability to browse or search for specific brands, items or styles. Buyers have the option to contact the seller with any questions before making a purchase. When a buyer has made a purchase, the seller receives payment and must make arrangements to ship the item to their buyer as soon as possible.
Denue is a global community connecting buyers and sellers all over the world. We are integrated with PayPal Commerce Platform which allows sellers to be located anywhere PayPal is available.
HOW TO JOIN DENUE
Whether you want to buy or sell on Denue (or both), the first thing you’ll need to do is set up an account. This is really simple and only takes a few minutes. You don’t need to select buyer or seller when you set up - every user is able to do both from the moment they’ve registered. Here is how joining Denue works, step by step:
- First, REGISTER HERE
- You’ll need a valid email address - it’s important that you enter a real email address, because this is how we’ll send you notifications and other communications.
- Next you’ll choose your username and a strong password, to keep your account safe.
Our team will approve the sign up and you will be all set to get started.
SELLING ON DENUE

You can source stock to sell on Denue from a lot of different places. Here are a few to start:
1. Your own wardrobe - old, new, denim you no longer wear. The mission behind Denue is to prolong and extend the life of denim and was born from this idea of passing on what you longer wear to someone else.
2. Reworked items - upcycled, handmade and repaired denim are all great and often look better than new denim.
3. Vintage shops and thrift stores – are great sources of denim for your shop.
Once you’ve got some items ready, it’s time to list them.
Denue is a denim only marketplace selling designer, premium and vintage denim. We will not accept any fast fashion type brands (Zara, H&M, Shein etc.) on the platform.
LISTING ON DENUE
Listing on Denue is simple and easy. You can do this from mobile or desktop at www.denue.ca.
Here’s what you need to do to list:
- Tap 'Sell Now' in the top right corner of the main menu
- Add photos of the denim
- Select the Category and Subcategory of the item you are listing
- Add a product title
- Add a full description of the item
-Click Save and Continue
From there you will need to complete the product details:
- Brand
- Size
- Fit
- Fit Name
- Wash
- Condition
Set your price for the item and click Submit. From there the listing will be reviewed by Denue Admin and be live on the platform the same day.
DENUE FEES
Fees on Denue are simple and straightforward. It’s free to list your denim in your shop and you’ll only be charged once an item is sold.
A 5% Denue fee is charged on the total transaction amount (including shipping costs). You will also be charged a standard transaction fee by PayPal which is around 2.9% + $0.30. Please note that transaction fees may vary based on your location and PayPal account setup. Please review the PayPal fees for your country on the PayPal website.
HOW DOES BUYING ON DENUE WORK?
As a buyer using Denue, you can find items to purchase by browsing the site or searching for specific brands, items or styles. Both are straightforward and simple to do. Follow these steps when you’re ready to checkout:
1. Tap ‘Add to Cart' from the product page.
2. Tap ‘Continue to Checkout', then review your shipping address to make sure it’s correct.
3. Tap 'Continue to Payment Method'
4. PayPal will be the payment option. Tap 'Continue to Payment' and select whether you would like to pay via your PayPal account or with a Debit or Credit Card.
5. You’re all set – we’ll email you a receipt with details about your purchase, and your seller will ship your new item to your address. Once the item has shipped, you will receive an email with the tracking information.
SHIPPING ON DENUE
When you're selling an item on Denue, the seller is always responsible for shipping to the buyer. We leave both the carrier and shipping rate up to the seller - buyers can message them to ask for more info using the 'Contact the Seller' button on the product listing page. You can also see if the seller ships to your country by selecting the 'Shipping & Location' tab on the product page and selecting your country from the drop down menu.
